Ahmad A. Alshorbagy is a Commercial Law Assistant Professor at the Alexandria University Law School in Alexandria, Egypt. He holds an S.J.D. and an LL.M. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, Charlottesville, Virginia and a B.A. degree from the Alexandria University Law School in Alexandria, Egypt.

Agata Bator is a legal advisor who works for ClientEarth as a lawyer on the Climate & Energy team. Her work focuses on energy efficiency issues, and particularly on implementation of EU energy efficiency directive and on use of European structural funds for energy efficiency promotion. Agata is a Polish qualified lawyer. Prior to joining ClientEarth she was employed in Domański Zakrzewski Palinka sp.k., one of the leading Polish law firms, and previously in the Polish offices of DLA Piper and Squire Sanders, as an associate in the teams advising clients from the energy sector. Agata’s interests and professional experience cover in particular legal aspects of combine heat and power generation, heat generation and transmission and renewable energy sources. She holds a master’s degree in law and sociology from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.

Radwa S. ElSaman is Commercial Law Assistant Professor at the Cairo University Law School in Cairo, Egypt. She is an Associate with Ibrachy-Dermarkar Law Firm in Cairo, Egypt. She holds an S.J.D. and an LL.M. degree from The American University Washington College of Law, Washington D.C., an L.L.M. degree from The International Maritime Organization International Maritime Law Institute, Malta and a B.A. degree from the Cairo University Law School in Cairo, Egypt. Jędrzej Górski Jędrzej is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of the  the ChineseUniversity of Hong Kong. Before joining the faculty he worked for two years in the Real Estate and Construction Department of CMS Cameron Mckenna LLP, Warsaw office and had apprenticed in Allen & Overy LLP, Sołtysiński Kawęcki Szlęzak Sp.k. and LTA Legal and Tax Advisors. In his real estate practice he specialized in the due diligence of the commercial and office properties as well as investment land for the purposes of prospective buyers and/or financing institution, adopting and amending local zoning plans, obtaining zoning, construction, environmental and occupancy permits, conducting environmental impact assessments, closing real estate transactions (asset, transfer of business and share deal), preparing master leases, sale and lease-back of properties, general contractor agreements for infrastructural projects governed by public procurement (wind and gas power plants) and protection monuments. Jędrzej is also known for his academia research. His doctoral research regards “new goal in public procurement as the obstacle in free trade”. He obtained his long cycle masters from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (summa cum laude), the certificate from the Center for American Law Studies co-organized by the University of Warsaw and University of Florida, and attended Federick Levin College of Law, University of Florida and the Faculty of Law of the University of Padua, each one semester as the exchange student.   Dr. Krzysztof Haładyj, attorney-at-law (adwokat) and partner in Wierzbowski Eversheds, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics at Warsaw University. Bartosz Karolczyk holds a Ph.D. at the College of Law, Kozmiński University, Poland. LL.M., Faculty of Law and Administration at the Warsaw University (2005). LL.M. and Thomas Buergenthal Scholar at the George Washington University Law School (2007). He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of California (2011-2012), Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. Since graduating in 2005 Bartosz has been collaborating with leading international and Polish law firms in Warsaw. His major fields of practice include private equity, banking & finance and civil litigation. Małgorzata Krasnodębska – Tomkiel, Former President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in Poland. Jacek Kubas is a Legal Specialist at the Financial Law Unit at EBRD. He is a capital market lawyer focusing on legal and regulatory reform of capital markets in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, Central Asia and Turkey. Prior to joining EBRD, Jacek worked as a legal counsel in Financial Law Division of the European Central Bank, Frankfurt; Germany, providing legal advice on monetary policy implementation and crisis related measures. He graduated from the University Of Gdansk School Of Law. He has also obtained an LL.M. in Financial Services Law from Chicago Kent College of Law and a postgraduate law degree in International Trade Law from the European Institute of University Studies in Turin, Italy. In addition, he completed various courses in banking at German leading universities. Jacek recently passed the New York State Bar Exam and is in the process of formal admission to the NY bar association. She prepares the dissertation regarding alternative dispute resolution in the light of European law under the academic supervision of Prof. dr hab. Robert Grzeszczak. In her academic research Jagna is particularily interested in international commercial arbitration and legal mediation. She ran her research in this field in a number of academic centers in France, Germany and the Netherlands being a grant holder of several scholarships. She was granted the scholarship by International Academy for Arbitration Law in Paris, Academy for International Law in the Hague and Deutscher Akademicher Austausch Dienst for doctoral students in Munich. She is one of the co-founders of the European Center of Arbitration in Warsaw.   Piotr Nowaczyk, a Chartered Arbitrator, is a partner in Dentons’ Warsaw office and works in construction disputes, FIDIC contracts, foreign investment, oil and gas, transfer of technology, IP, energy, international sales, banking, joint ventures, commercial contracts, M&A, distributorships, licenses, and sport arbitration. He is an ICC Court Member, a member of the Vienna International Arbitration Centre Advisory Board, and a Polish delegate for UNCITRAL Working Group II on Arbitration & Conciliation. Adam Pasierbek , studied economics and political science at the University of Reading (UK) and the University of Ottawa (Canada). Michal Urbankowski, is a chief expert at Ministry of Economy, Department of Innovation and Industry. He was a member of the Trade & Investment Section, Consul Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York. As the Consul of the Trade and Investment Section of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, Mr. Urbankowski was involved in developing trade relations between Poland and the United States through participation in trade shows of Polish companies and business correspondence.  Prior to his current position, Mr. Urbankowski worked as the Vice-Consul at the Economic Division of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, where in addition to his current activities, he was also engaged in organizing visits of governmental delegations, involved in developing trade relations between Poland and the United States through a series of conferences, educational and promotional events, cooperating with local Polish and American Chambers of Commerce.  Formerly, Mr. Urbankowski worked for one of the largest foreign trade companies in Poland that was operating in international commodity markets – Impexmetal in the Metal Trade Department. Prior to this, he worked for the Corporate Banking Department at Swedish SEB Bank and BOS Bank (both in Sweden and Poland).  Michal Urbankowski graduated from Warsaw School of Economics in 2002 with a Master Degree in Economics, specialization: Banking and Finance.

Grahame Warby worked for 8 years in private practice across two major US law firms, predominantly in project finance and corporate M&A. He subsequently went to work as in-house legal counsel for a leading Egyptian steel producer. He holds a Masters degree (LL.M) in Public and Private International Law. He has lived and worked in Paris and London and now currently works as a legal recruiter for Cogence Search, recruiting across the corporate, banking and capital market sectors.
